We had the most wonderful day yesterday working with a fabulous team of industry professionals out at Ruthven Heritage Park in Cayuga. I want to really thank all of them for all of their hard work, beautiful talent, inspiration and fun spirits for helping to make our creative style shoot so much fun to be part of. If you haven’t already been introduced to these wonderful ladies and gents, let me take a few moments to share their wonderful talents with you.
Let me start with free-lance Make Up Artist Sakura June Brunette. The ever so lovely Sakura, is soft spoken, but full of crazy talent. We just love how beautiful you make everyone look. Especially our lovely model Malissa and her main squeeze Joel. Thank you so much for inviting me to take over the creative direction of the shoot, and thank you for all of your amazing efforts to pull it all together. Kudo’s on your first creative!!!
A style creative is all about the most perfect images that captures the look and feel and tells the story that you are sharing. Without the right photographer … a style creative can go no where. So we are so very lucky to have the ever so talented photographer Ally Kristensen on hand to make sure that our story is told perfectly. Here she is making sure that Malissa gets that pose just right. We love her creative vision, her crazy laugh and of course her eye for capturing that perfect light. We can’t wait to show you Ally’s images…unfortunately you will have to wait just a little bit longer!
Our sets would not be complete without props and furniture. So of course our dear friend Leslie from Warehouse 84 had all of the most perfect pieces to share with us…even so new pieces that we simply love. Leslie is the go to girl in the area for vintage, retro and just plain fun finds that will help create the most perfect atmosphere for any celebration.
This is the first time that we have worked with Maria from Sweet Avenue Cakery. And she was fabulous! We gave her Alicia’s inspiration art work, the ever so lovely painting behind the cake as inspiration and Maria ran with it. Truly a simply beautiful Cake. Alicia from Alicia’s Infinity is so multi talented, I must admit that I am slightly jealous! Not only does she create the most amazing jewellery from vintage elements such as buttons, lockets, chains, vintage jewellery, bobbles and trinkets, but she also is a very gifted artist as well. All of our stationary for the creative was hand drawn and pained by Alicia. The true inspiration behind our creative was her artwork.
Although, I did not get a chance to meet these two ladies, their handy work was such an important element in the creative. Kalee from Frilly Bits created the most perfect matching hair piece for our bride Malissa. Since she had only a cell phone photo of the gown to work from, she did a most perfect job in our opinion. It matched perfectly to the ever so romantic bridal gown creative by Toronto Bridal Designer Maureen at Maureen Patricia Design.
I truly love this little guy!!! Standing guard along a covered path at Ruthven Heritage Park in Cayuga is George. Well, I am not really sure on what his real name is, but I love to call him George. He really is lovely, and I always make sure that he is well dressed for any occasion that we help celebrate at Ruthven.
So there, our story is set and the players all introduced. I am sorry to say that I have to make you wait a little while longer to see how it all came together on a late summer afternoon in the country. But if you are in the throws of planning a fabulous wedding and need a little help reach out to my new friends. I know that they will be just as excited about your wedding as you are!
Happy planning and much love xo
